The Matrix Motivation

You've seen it so many times but still don't get it do you? Let me explain.

You've seen it so many times but still don't get it do you? Let me explain.

Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Spoon boy: Then you'll see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

"There is no spoon." One of the most common catchphrases of The Matrix. There is no spoon - the spoon exists only in the Matrix, which really means it doesn't exist as a physical object. This is an important lesson for Neo, to help him realize that manipulating the Matrix isn't about focusing on an object and trying to change it. The object doesn't exist, so he can't change it, he has to change himself. Metaphorically, it's all in his head - he has to look inside himself to bring about even the smallest change.

Now lets take that a step further. The spoon is a metaphor for every problem, set back, and bad situation we find ourselves in. But too many of us keep focusing on the spoon, trying so hard to get it to bend (change). If you would put that same energy that you waste on the spoon (the problem) and focus it on improving yourself, then soon there will be no spoon. You will never get to a point where you no longer have trial and tribulations to deal with. We all have to go through something. However, you can get to a point where you don't even notice the problems anymore. Once you realize that you have control over your outcome, what happens to you no longer matters. "Then you'll see that it's not the spoon that bends, it's only yourself." The problem is not the problem . The problem is your attitude about the problem. If you will change, then everything will change for you.
